The Benefits of underfloor heating
Save money on Bills, Improved comfort and a lot more
Unlike Radiators, Underfloor Heating allows the heat to be more evenly distributed and dust is not circulated. Underfloor Heating from the whole floor area of the house gently warms the air above, eliminating cold spots.
Underfloor Heating reduces energy consumption by using lower water temperatures. According to the energy saving trust: In an existing home with average insulation an underfloor heating system will save 20% costs over a Radiator system over a year.
Safety & low maintenance costs
With lower flow temperatures and no protruding radiators, an underfloor heating system takes away the risk of burns or collisions with radiators. If correctly Installed, there is little that can go wrong, pressure testing of the pipes means any potential leaks will have already been identified at an early stage and dealt with prior to screeding.
better space UTILIASATION
Underfloor heating allows you the freedom to design your room layout without compromise. You can place furniture anywhere you wish because no space is lost to Radiators.
How it works
Underfloor heating is the oldest form of central heating, first used by the Romans to heat buildings and baths. In a water system pipework is laid in or under the floor. As warm water is passed through the pipework heat percolates into the floor and as a result the floor heats the room. In effect, the floor has become a giant Radiator. The warm air convects from the floor surface losing approximately 2 Degrees Centigrade at 2 meters above the floor, which makes it ideal for all floor heights. This improves comfort by resulting in warm feet and a more consistent room temperature. An Underfloor Heating System generates more radiant heat opposed to convective heat.
